WSCRoute - Opening conference

The opening conference of the project "Famous Women in Science and Culture: experience design through joint cultural tourism route and product development in Serbia-Hungary cross-border region" was held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in Novi Sad in the Leopold Hotel at the Petrovaradin Fortress.

With respect of pandemic measures, the conference was organized combining live participation with participation through the ZOOM platform.

Representatives of the City Council for Culture, the Museum of the City of Novi Sad, Foundation Novi Sad 2021 - European Capital of Culture and the Eurotender Association addressed the audience.

Along with greetings and emphasizing the importance of the project, the main expected result of the project was presented. It is a route that will include two large multimedia permanent exhibitions to be held in May next year - Mileva Maric Einstein in Novi Sad and an exhibition dedicated to important female figures in Szeged - photographer Manci Bäck, painter Nana Kukovetz and librarian Agota Fischhof. The project will also create a mobile route application, which will provide interesting information about famous women and their related places on the route. The promotion will also be done through a common branding platform.
